Such Mahal Palace, a magnificent palace for the kings to enjoy the coolness, built on lake, amid lush surroundings of garden is a major point of tourist attraction. Rudyard Kipling stayed here and his experience is reflected in Kim.
Taragarh or the Star Fort, perched on thickly wooden hill is one on the most impressive forts of Rajasthan with a lake which served as water supply for the fort.
