PUSHKAR BORN DUE TO A FLOWER

India is an exotic place of different cultures, very ancient, since centuries.
Probably all cities in India, have some distinct past.
PUSHKAR lies on the shore of Pushkar Lake, in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is 14 kms from Ajmer.
This little town has five principal temples, many smaller temples and 52 Ghats, the bathing places on the bank of the lake.
But Pushkar is well known for Indians as well as tourists for its 14th century temple of Lord Brahma, the Creator the World.
Very few temples of Lord Brahma exist anywhere in the India.
Pushkar is one of the oldest cities of India. The date of its actual founding is not known, but legend associates Lord Brahma with its creation.
It is often called “ Thirth Raj”, the king of pilgrimage sites, and has in recent years become a popular destination for foreign tourists who come here to taste the culture of India.
The picturesque Pushkar is set in a valley just about Ajmer, surrounded by hills on three sides and sand dunes on the fourth.
Pushkar forms a fascinating location and befitting backdrop for the annual religious and the well-known camel fair.
The nearest city Ajmer is connected by air, rail and road to all major cities of India. Ajmer has some comfortable hotels for foreigners too.
